NWVARC MEMBERS SUNRAYSIA EQUESTRIAN GROUNDS (SEC) USAGE POLICY
NWVARC Members are permitted to use the SEC grounds for private/casual use outside of organised rally/events under the policy.
Purpose
Provide a guide to usage of the Sunraysia Equestrian Center by NWVARC members during organised rallies/events and private/casual use.
Principles
Policy
1. An approved equestrian helmet with a fixed harness MUST be worn at all times whilst mounted. The required standards for helmets at HRCAV competitions will be: AS/NZS 3838 EN 1384 ASTN F1163
Long or short riding boots with smooth soles MUST be worn at all times whilst mounted.
2. Use of grounds is NOT permitted when in use by another club or SEC user group unless granted permission by the relevant club or user group.
3. Members are to abide at all times by any closures or usage restrictions made by SEC Board of Management (BOM), without exception.
4. Access is only available through the main gates. Gates must be kept closed at all times and any signage posted must be adhered to.
5. Any accidental damage to facilities or equipment must be reported to a club official asap. Members may be held responsible for any damage that occurs.
6. The following conditions apply to the use of all horse yards on the grounds;
a. Yards to be left clean of manure and feed.
b. Gate ropes to be left hooked back up so that clips don’t rust.
c. Any damage is to be reported to club officials.
7. All manure is to be placed in trailers provided. Do not place around base of native trees.
8. The lunging of horses most be conducted in the round yards only.
9. Lunging of horses is NOT permitted on the grass arena.
10. Use of the grass arena is not permitted when wet.
11. Horses must not be left unattended at the grounds at any time.
12. Horses must not be fed or stabled in the round yards or other enclosed arenas.
13. There are no exceptions to the above conditions.
14. Members must also abide by other relevant club policies eg. Dogs at rallies Policy

- All club activities undertaken on the grounds are to be within the included activities covered by members HRCAV insurance.
- It is the responsibility of an individual to be aware of and abide by the conditions of their club insurance when utilising the grounds for private/casual use.
