JUNE 2017 NEWSLETTER
NWVARC Newsletter
Our June rally was a dressage protocol day organised by Hanna Costanzo & Kath Honeck. Merryn Zepple kindly agreed to act as our judge and provided feedback to each rider after their tests. This was followed by a play on the XC course for the braver riders in the afternoon which was very capably supervised by Kelly Fyfe. It was a very relaxed day and everyone had a good time. Once again a big thanks to those for organising, judging and instructing.
The committee is always seeking feedback and ideas for rallies. If you have any ideas or would like to provide feedback please email through to [email protected] or speak directly to a committee member.
RALLIES
July Rally Sunday 23 @ 10am - Trail ride with camp oven lunch @ Montarna Station.
Judy Doyle has kindly offered to host a rally at the beautiful Montarna Station located approx 45 min drive from Mildura in NSW. There are thousands of acres to have a quiet trail ride and Judy also has a lovely arena for those that may not be confident on a trail ride. Option to just do a day trip or camp overnight. See attached flyer & map for more details. Please RSVP for catering purposes.
August Rally 26 - Wentworth Show HRCAV ring
Once again our club is hosting a ring at the Wentworth Show. This is suitable for all levels of riders and provides a great atmosphere to bring young horses out or for those new to showing. Programs are available for download from the Wentworth Show Society website and entries are online via Nominate. Remember to be able to enter the HRCAV ring you must have been level assessed with performance cards for the horse you are riding. Your valid membership card and Showing performance card must be supplied to the ring steward 30 mins prior to the ring commencing. To be level assessed please contact Judy Doyle or Alisha Kalms - please do not leave this to the last minute. We also need some helpers to run the ring on the day. If you are available even for an hour or two please let me know.
FUNDRAISING
BBQ - Mildura EA Horse Trials
Our club is running the BBQ on Saturday 29 July at the Mildura Horse Trials. This will involve providing breakfast of bacon and egg sandwiches and then lunch ie. sausages & onions in bread. Hanna Costanzo has kindly offered to be co-ordinator, but will need assistance to organise supplies prior to Saturday and will need at least 3 people for breakfast and then lunch. If people can only give an hour or two that's fine as we can do a roster to suit people's availability.
A roster is being put together with members who have volunteered their time already. Please let myself or Hanna know if you can assist for breakfast or lunch.
Cadburys Chocolates
Thankyou to all the members that took a box of chocolates to sell. They were sold out in record time.
