NWVARC Rally Day/Clinic Information
All persons are required to wear an ASA approved riding helmet (AS/NZS 3838 or ASTM F1163) and riding boots whilst mounted. The SEC grounds have a defibrillator on site, in case of emergencies. It is recommended that you familiarise yourself with the grounds, rules and forms prior to organising a Club Rally or Clinic. Club Policies may be found by clicking here: Club Policies
PLEASE NOTE: A non-member can only participate in ONE event in an NWVARC club year.
Participants who are non-members will be required to complete a day membership application and pay $30 for each day they participate (ie, two forms and $60 for a 2 day clinic). If the rally/clinic is held at the Sunraysia Equestrian Centre (SEC), there is an additional $10 facility fee (the facility fee is not applicable if the rider is a member of one of the other SEC user groups ie, MAPC or MHC). It is up to the clinic coordinator to set the rally/clinic fees for non-members. Payment for instructors will not be made until completion of a clinic unless prior approval is obtained from the committee.
Please ensure the Day Membership Insurance Summary and Non-Member disclaimer forms are completed (if non-members are participating), the Rally Day Checklist (which needs to be completed for every event), and any money collected are forwarded to the NWVARC Club Secretary (who will arrange payment and submission of the form(s) to HRCAV within 7 days of the rally/clinic). The links to the forms are listed below.
If held at SEC, the rally/clinic coordinator will need to make arrangements to get a key to the SEC gate/clubroom/amenities prior to the event. The Club Room and toilet blocks that are to be used need to be cleaned prior to and after the rally day/clinic. The toilets need to be flushed twice at the end of an event to ensure only water is left in the pipelines and all windows in the toilet/showers need to be closed. The rally/clinic coordinator is responsible for the pre and post cleaning and ensuring that the areas used are free of horse manure.
There is coffee/tea supplies can be found in the NWVARC cabinet.
