JUNE 2017 NEWSLETTER
NWVARC Newsletter
The club has had a busy few months with some interesting clinics being held and a huge thankyou to Kylie Breeze & Nerida Morrish who were mainly responsible for organising these last few clinics and all the other members that supported them and provided assistance. We have also welcomed a number of new members over the last few months which has been great to see. The committee is always seeking feedback and ideas for rallies. If you have any ideas or would like to provide feedback please email through to [email protected] or speak directly to a committee member.
RALLIES
June Rally 25 - Dressage Protocol Day with Merryn Zeppel
To commence at 9am with a discussion on test etiquette then ride 1 or 2 tests followed by feedback. After lunch will be an opportunity to go for a stroll around the XC course. Tests available Prep A & D, Prelim 1.2 & 1.3, Novice 2.2 & 2.3, Elem 3.2 & 3.3.
Cost for the rally is $5 per test & $5 for lunch. Please RSVP if attending.
July Rally 22 - Trail ride with camp oven tea @ Montarna Station.
Judy Doyle has kindly offered to host a rally at the beautiful Montarna Station located approx 45 min drive from Mildura in NSW. There are thousands of acres to have a quiet trail ride and Judy also has a beautiful arena for those that may not be confident on a trail ride. Option to just do a day trip or camp overnight. Further details will be provided.
August Rally 26 - Wentworth Show HRCAV ring
Once again our club is hosting a ring at the Wentworth Show. This is suitable for all levels of riders and is a great atmosphere to bring young horses out or for those new to showing. Programs are available for download from the Wentworth Show Society website and entries are online via Nominate. Remember to be able to enter the HRCAV ring you must have been level assessed with performance cards for the horse you are riding. Your valid membership card and Showing performance card must be supplied to the ring steward 30 mins prior to the ring commencing. To be level assessed please contact Judy Doyle or Alisha Kalms - please do not leave this to the last minute. We also need some helpers to run the ring on the day. If you are available even for an hour or two please let me know.
FUNDRAISING
BBQ - Mildura EA Horse Trials
Our club will be running the BBQ on Saturday 29 July at the Mildura Horse Trials. This will involve providing breakfast of bacon and egg sandwiches and then lunch ie. sausages or steak sandwiches. Hanna Costanzo has kindly offered to be co-ordinator, but will need assistance to organise supplies prior to Saturday and will need at least 3 people for breakfast and then lunch. If people can only give an hour or two that's fine as we can do a roster to suit people's availability.
Cadburys Chocolates
The club has ordered some more boxes of chocolates. This is an easy fundraiser and it is not hard to sell out in most workplaces. Boxes are $50. If you would like a box please let me know and I will arrange to get them to you.
UNIFORMS
Our uniform co-ordinator Yvette has sourced some quotes for new T-Shirts and Caps. I will provide some info on style and sizing, but they will be the same as the last ones we ordered. The shirts can be embroidered with our logos for a cost of $30 or screen printed for a cost of $35 and caps will be $10. If you are interested please reply with your order indicating size and your preference for embroidered or screen printing. We will only order one type and will go with the majority, but will publicise the decision and confirm orders prior to ordering.
